This qualification encourages an understanding of the knowledge and the skills needed to care for young children. The course will include:

• Finding out about Forest Schools

• Preparing for your next steps

• Children’s play and leisure activities in the community

• Listening and talking with young children • Growth and development of young children

• Science activities for young children

Maths & English

All learners will study Maths and English functional skills alongside their vocational programme. Learners with a grade 3 (D) in Maths and English will be enrolled on the GCSE programme alongside their vocational course.

Work Experience

You will complete substantial work experience in a nursery setting.
