Parent and Carer Information
At Prospect Training Services (PTS) we believe that you as parents and carers play a key role in your young person's education and training journey. We encourage our parents and carers to work with us to support our learners; we recognise the valuable assistance that you can provide in keeping them on track and helping them reach their full potential.
As our learners are becoming young adults, we believe that they can be independent in their learning and hold responsibility for their attendance and conduct, but at times when this may not be the case, we will keep in close contact with you and share any concerns; equally we will always share good news stories and successes with you. This page provides you with useful information about PTS and what your young person should expect throughout their journey.
In addition to this, we offer:
- An open-door policy: you can make an appointment anytime to meet with staff to discuss any concerns or queries in relation to your young person
- Progress reports are available upon request
- Careers and progression events for the learner and their parent/carer to attend
- A dedicated safeguarding team who are there to support the whole family and can provide referrals to a range of community services
- Regular communications such as newsletters
